Marking Criteria - Pass, Merit, Distinction

In order to make sure that your sequence and special effect are properly planned you will need to produce the following documents:

b) relevant plans & sketches for the chosen special effect
c) mock ups relevant to the chosen special effect
d) detailed risk assessment for the special effect production (this is the making of the prop & the shooting of the sfx sequence)
e) recce 
g) permission to use the special effect
h) other legal requirement - Film London advice   & Casualty Ofcom
i) compliance with relevant health and safety requirements - see BECTU job cards - pick three thing of the "Office and production staff" card and one other relevant card and post them to your blog.

M1

The storyboard needs to have relevant camera directions which are related to the sequence and the chosen special effect.
Detailed annotated sketches are produced. (This means labelled and providing a clear idea on how the special effect will work)
Contingency plans are produced that relate to the footage in which the special effect will feature.

D1

The storyboard shows relevant sound and/or sound effects related to the sequence and chosen special effect. 

The sketches and plans represent the special effect from a number of angles
