Learners produce and edit competent footage, containing use of the special effect planned for, by:
a) setting up appropriate equipment
b) following the storyboard
c) following safe working practices
d) following production processes

The footage produced by learners, containing use of the special effect planned for, is generally of a good technical standard and quality.

The final edit of the footage, containing use of the special effect planned for, is generally of a good technical standard and quality.

D2

Camera, lighting, mise-en-scene, sound and editing is used creatively by learners to enhance the impact of the special effect. 

Evidence

You need the following evidence to make sure you achieve the LO:
  • Annotated photographs of you working on set, this includes setting up the equipment you were responsible for
  • Comparisons screenshots of the storyboard against shots from the edit
  • Annotated photographs of you working in the edit suite that demonstrates how you followed safe working practices (posture, screen hight, regular breaks . . . )
  • Screenshots of demonstrating how you have followed production processes, this would include file structure with suitably labelled sound and video files, Premiere Pro screenshots of the edit, screenshots of any effects added and an explanation of why you did this.
  • Rough cut edit with feedback (H.264 > Choose Youtube settings) 
  • Final edit (H.264 )
